Setting up, managing and removing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides additional security for your account. With MFA enabled, you log in to the site with a verification code in addition to your username and password.

Setting up MFA on your account

In order to add MFA to your account you will need to follow these instructions -

1. Navigate to the 'My Account' on the left of your dashboard, then scroll down to the Multi factor Authentication section and then click 'set up application'

2. You’ll then see the next screen, where you select ‘Set up application’ again

3. You will then be asked to enter your current password. Once you have entered this click confirm

4.1 Once you have confirmed your password you are presented with a list of MFA application sites, each one is linked to download the mobile or desktop version of that MFA tool

4.2 After installing the MFA app on your device, you can either enter the provided code manually or scan the also provided QR code when prompted

5 You will then be provided with a verification code in your MFA application that you need to enter (example below).

Enter this code then click ‘verify and save’

6. You will then either need to either add your browser as a *'trusted browser' or Skip this section. -

*Trusted browsers let you skip verification codes for 30 days after marking them as trusted. Once that period ends, you'll need to enter a code with your login, and can re-mark the browser as trusted

7. You are then given a list of your recovery codes, you are encouraged to Keep a copy of these codes, printed, saved, or written down in case you need to log in without the app.

Then either click save or skip and finish to complete your set up
